Mumbai mein BMC ne Worli Jetty par helipad development ke liye bids invite kiye hain, jo Mumbai Coastal Road (South) ke saath Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model par banaya jaayega.
Yeh helipad medium-class helicopters ko accommodate kar sakega aur iska use medical aur emergency evacuations, coastal surveillance, aur VIP movement ke liye kiya jaane ki planning hai.
Helipad development ke liye appoint ki jaane wali firm ko take-off aur landing operations se hone wali revenue ka ek hissa BMC ke saath share karna hoga. Civic officials ke according, kyunki yeh project PPP revenue-sharing model par based hai, isliye company ko har mahine ₹1 lakh fixed amount BMC ko dena hoga, saath hi helicopter landing aur take-off movements se milne wali revenue ka ek percentage bhi share karna padega.
Ek civic official ne bataya ki Worli Jetty helipad ko private parties bhi kaafi use kar sakti hain, isi liye monthly fixed revenue ke saath revenue-sharing ka system rakha gaya hai. Tender document mein yeh bhi mention hai ki helipad ka main purpose better connectivity provide karna hai, jisse MEDEVAC aur emergency evacuation, coastal surveillance, national security activities jaise exercises aur patrolling, natural disasters ke time disaster-relief operations, aur VIP/VVIP movements ko support kiya ja sake.
Civic body ke according, BMC ke saath PPP mein aane wali firm ko Worli Jetty area ko aesthetic elements ke saath beautify karna hoga, taaki public view better ho aur project Mumbai Coastal Road infrastructure ke saath seamlessly integrate ho. Iske saath hi, helipad aur related facilities ke liye detailed architectural aur engineering designs prepare karne honge aur DGCA guidelines, ICAO standards aur baaki statutory aviation requirements ka strict compliance ensure karna hoga.
Project ke under proper landing aur take-off zones, lighting aur navigation aids, ke saath-saath supporting infrastructure, safety aur fire-fighting systems, ground handling aur fueling facilities bhi develop ki jaayengi. PPP agreement 15 saal ke period ke liye hoga, jise mutually agreed terms par aur 15 saal tak extend kiya ja sakta hai.
Isse pehle, IIT-Bombay ne ek report submit ki thi, jisme helipad development ke liye Worli Jetty ki structural stability certify ki gayi hai.
